Building on the sold-out success of last year’s Symposium, we are reuniting to continue sharing our adventures in teaching and learning practice.
Two new strands have been added to the Symposium this year. In addition to exploring scholarly inquiry projects, participants will also have a chance to learn about student success stories using impactful teaching practices, as well as hear about short, rapid “research bites”.
Please join us for a day of speakers, presentations, discussions and networking with colleagues who share an interest in scholarly teaching and learning in post-secondary education.
Need accommodation? We have a preferred rate ($139, until Oct. 20) at The Met Hotel (please mention, “BCcampus events”). Or check out this list of hotels in downtown Vancouver that offer Provincial Government Rates.
All faculty (professors, teaching faculty, research faculty, instructors, sessional, and full-time educators), teaching assistants and graduate students at all British Columbia post-secondary institutions. In addition, educational developers, directors, administration and research office staff, and colleagues from other post-secondary institutions are welcome.
The day is sponsored and hosted by BCcampus and planned by a committee of provincial leaders in Teaching & Learning: Liesel Knaack (VIU), Peter Arthur (UBC-O), Grant Gregson (Emily Carr), Maureen Wideman (UFV), and Gary Hunt (TRU).
